Kinglake Ranges Neighbourhood House runs a number of courses and classes for locals interested in expanding their horizons. Most of  our Vocational and computer courses are funded in full or part by Adult, Community and Further Education. There are further classes that are run on-demand. Expressions of interest are welcome.

  • Courses and events marked with an asterix * in this program are on offer due to funding received from the Department of Innovation, Industry and Regional Development to run a Rural Skills Program. This program aims to strengthen links between community and their Natural Environment and is a partnership of Kinglake Landcare Group, Permaculture Kinglake Ranges, KANDO and Kinglake Ranges Neighbourhood House.
    General Information
    Enrolments
    Please drop into the House to complete your enrolment form. Payment can be made by cash or cheque (EFTPOS is not available). Enrolments without payment will be considered as expressions of interest only. A full or partial payment is required to secure a place in a course or workshop. All
    activities must be fully paid at least one week before commencement.
    Policy on Cancellations
    Where a course is cancelled by us for any reason, a full refund will be made to all participants. Where a participant withdraws from a course/workshop at short notice, a refund will be made if the remaining numbers are sufficient for the course to proceed. A refund of this nature will attract a $5.00 administration charge. Where the remaining numbers are not sufficient, a refund cannot be made.

    Concessions
    Holders of eligible cards are entitled to concessions on some courses or workshops. Please refer to the program for details. Please bring your Health Care Card on enrolment day or send a photocopy if enrolling by mail.

    Annual House Fee
    The annual House fee is $10.00 and applies mostly to ongoing groups or wherever stated. This fee must be paid upon enrolment and is an additional fee to the stated session costs. This fee is not a membership fee to KRNH.

    Membership
    Membership in KRNH is open to all residents of the Kinglake Ranges who have an interest in the aims and activities of KRNH and who support the existence of a neighbourhood house in Kinglake.
    The entry fee is $1.00 payable each year at the time of our Annual General Meeting. Each financial member is entitled to a vote at all general meetings in person or by proxy.

    Free Child Care
    Free child care is available for some courses. Please ask for more details when you enrol.
