Volunteering is an important resource for the Neighbourhood House. Volunteers who offer their assistance and help in and around the House and the Opportunity Shop greatly helps in the House's day to day operations.

Our Volunteer Program can provide many opportunities in areas such as:

* Tutoring within our community education and training programs
* Facilitating/Resourcing special interest groups
* Opportunity Shop
* Landcare

Volunteers can also elect to become a member of the Committee of Management and can then provide greater input into various issues affecting the Neighbourhood House and ultimately the larger community.

* By volunteering at the Neighbourhood House we can offer participants the chance to:
* Improve and use their existing skills
* Learn new and helpful skills

* Meet new people in the community
* Obtain a current reference
* Imrpove confidence and self-esteem
* Complete work that is mutually beneficial to the local community.
